Dabei sei auch anzumerken, dass eine besondere Fokussierung auf die Fächer Deutsch und Geschichte der eigenen Spezialisierung des Autors auf diese Fachbereiche geschuldet sind. Daraus ergibt sich allerdings die Möglichkeit, dem zeitgeschichtlichen Hintergrund der Gesamtsituation in stärkerem Maße Beachtung zu schenken. Zunächst wird auf den Begriff Migration eingegangen werden. Der Begriff an sich soll dabei zunächst definiert werden, um im Folgenden dann auf die Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland angewendet werden zu können. Aus dieser geschichtlichen Darstellung soll dann die Grundlage für die weitere Arbeit gelegt sein, welche sich dann mit einem Beispiel befasst, dass ein grundlegendes challenge bei der Eingliederung von Kindern mit Migrationshintergrund in den Schulalltag erfassen soll. Diese Problematik bildet auch die Grundlage für einen kleinen Exkurs in den Themenbereich der Diagnostik im Sinne der Erfassung von Sprachkompetenzen bei Schülern des Vorschul- und Grundschulalters. Daraufhin soll die interkulturelle Pädagogik in ihrer Aufgabe und Funktion dargestellt werden. Dabei wird auch auf die Entwicklung der interkulturellen Kompetenz eingegangen werden. Abschließend sollen die Möglichkeiten, die aus einer kulturell heterogenen Lerngruppe entstehen, dargestellt werden, um abschließend zu zeigen, dass kulturelle Heterogenität vielmehr eine likelihood bedeutet als eine Problematik. Dazu werden verschiedene Anregungen für den Unterricht gegeben werden, die zeigen sollen, wie sich kulturelle Heterogenität direkt im Unterricht nutzen lässt und dabei die interkulturelle Kompetenz fördert. Aus dieser Arbeit kann dann durch die Reflektion der eigenen Erfahrungen und der weiteren Beschäftigung mit dem Thema Migration und kultureller Heterogenität sowie der interkulturellen Kompetenz eine gute Vorbereitung auf den späteren Beruf des Lehrers entstehen.
